multimedia installation (uv blacklights, stroblight, projector, acrylic on canvas, documentary ), 2015

The work Fragments explores the connection and resemblance of the identity of a city with the collective and individual identities of its citizens, as well as how and to what extent did the change of the visual and social identity of the city (throughout years) have an impact on its citizens.
The goal was to compare and document experiences in terms of the micro narrative and to incorporate them in a broader context (while paying attention to the diversity of each experience); documenting social and cultural changes and their impact on social dynamics of the city; of people’s sense of belonging; and their perception of the collective identity.

This work consists of a spatial installation and a documentary.
